What You Need to Know
In October 2026, the majority of campus employees, including staff, academic employees, and all students, will transition to Time Reporting System (TRS). This timekeeping system is hosted by UC Irvine and is currently used by six other UC locations.

Highlights of TRS
Simple, Intuitive Design
Simplifies daily time entry and streamlines time-off requests, making tracking your hours and managing leave intuitive and fast.
Efficient Time Entry Tool
The copy/paste feature lets users enter time across multiple days. Users can set date ranges, within a single pay period, for entering the same information on multiple days.
Manages Multiple Jobs
Employees with more than one campus job, including student employees, will have a separate timecard for each job, making it easy to enter hours and easier for supervisors to approve the time.
Streamlines Late Timesheet Process
Employees and supervisors can complete and submit late timesheets directly within the application, eliminating the need for paper forms or processes outside of the timekeeping system.

Training
Time Reporting System (TRS) training is coming in the summer of 2026.
