New Time Clock Installation Plans
Time clocks will be installed across campus starting on June 22, 2026. Installation will be prioritized at locations primarily serving employees transitioning to CalKronos to ensure that clocks are fully operational before the CalKronos go-live on July 19. Every effort will be made to minimize service disruptions during the installation process.
All current time clock users will be affected by this change. Be sure to look for the flyer by the time clock with instructions for using the new time clock.
Updates on Time Clock installation will be sent to supervisors of biweekly, realtime employees as needed. For questions or to report a time clock service issue, please email caltime@berkeley.edu
Replacement Cal 1 Cards
If you just got a replacement Cal 1 Card, please keep in mind that it may take up to three days to work with campus time clocks.
Day 1: The replacement card will not work.
Day 2:
- Cal 1 Card should work for CalKronos users after the worker sync at 8 a.m. Open a ticket if they are scheduled to work that day, and we can request a middleware sync to Cirrus from IT.
- Cal 1 Card will not work for CalTime users until day 3.
Day 3: Cal 1 Card should work for both CalKronos and CalTime users. If not, open a ticket.
