About Friendly Names
A CalTime friendly name applicable to biweekly paid employees, is a short name intended to be a user friendly name in which the employee can record their hours worked and leave taken using the transfer function in CalTime. CalTime uses this friendly name to associate the hours worked and leave taken to the employee’s HR job/appointment and chart string(s) in order to send time reporting information to the UCPath payroll system. Friendly Names are created in a separate application known as the Friendly Name application (FN App) which interfaces nightly into CalTime for employee time recording.
