CalTime is an Operational Excellence (OE) project that automates and standardizes UC Berkeley’s timekeeping processes. In addition to providing an online timekeeping system, CalTime supports our transition to Campus Shared Services and aligns us with the UC Office of the President's systemwide UCPath project.
We put a lot of thought into picking a tool to standardize timekeeping. We spent 18 months reviewing options, working with the campus community, and consulting with other universities. Ultimately, we decided to extend our licenses with Kronos, a timekeeping solution used by other top universities across the country.
